Information we collect

X-Nearby uses email login to identify users. When you register, we store your email address, password hash, display name, uploaded avatar, and optional profile fields such as social links.

If you allow browser location access, we store your latest latitude and longitude so the app can show nearby users within roughly 100km. If you deny location access, the app may use your last saved location when available.

How we use information

We use account and location information to provide login, display your profile on the map, and show nearby users. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing and third-party services

X-Nearby relies on third-party services including Cloudflare for hosting and database infrastructure, and OpenStreetMap for map tiles. These services may process data under their own policies.

Data retention and control

We keep your latest profile and location information as needed to operate the service. You can stop updating your location by denying browser location permission or signing out.
